Whether you are a trend-setter, a trend-follower or a …trend-hater, it’s always good to know what the fashion scene holds for us in the months ahead. Inspired by Fall/Winter 2019 runways, here’s our pick of the top 5 trends we expect to see everywhere in the next season.

As fashion trends move toward the unisex and the modest, it’s no surprise that skirts and tunics over pants are a key driver for the season. Designers bet on extended sizing and comfort, with long-over-long layers cut in soft fluid materials, ranging from fine-gauge knit and cotton to silk. Lustrous surfaces add some glamour to the look.

Neck is wrapped for a super comfy effect. Taking inspiration from the pussy bow shirt, different clothing items ranging from dresses to suits and knitwear are embellished at the neckline through refined shapes that create a sort of “drape” around the bottom part of the head.

3. RENAISSANCE REGALITY Schermata 2019-03-30 alle 18.24.42 Designers are borrowing from the era of cultural and artistic rebirth that followed the Middle Ages, taking the most iconic styles of that period and adapting them to the 21st century. As part of this trend (which we also saw in Puffy sleeves and corset tops) mantles, trawls and crowns where everywhere at F/W 2019 runways, transforming women into modern princesses and taking romanticism to the next level.  

4. DETAILS CUTOUT
Schermata 2019-03-30 alle 18.24.54 As designers look for new and more sophisticated ways to show extra-skin during the cold season, clothes are cut in strategic points to make the silhouette more charming and sensual. Some of the best examples of this trend come from Proenza Schouler , Burberry or Christopher Kane, among others.

A-shaped dresses will be huge next season. Narrow at the shoulders and gradually widening towards the hem, designers interpreted them in many different ways, from minimalist versions up to the voluminous feather dress worn by Christy Turlington at the Marc Jacobs runway.
